Jamie Osborne is on track to return from injury for Leinster in Friday's BKT United Rugby Championship meeting with Munster at Thomond Park, while Leo Cullen is expected to unleash most of his frontline Ireland internationals who were rested against Connacht last weekend.

Osborne has missed the province’s last three games after suffering a groin injury during Ireland’s Autumn Nations Series win against Fiji last month.

The 22-year-old has returned to full training this week, and is declared available for selection ahead of the big Interpro with Munster on 27 December.

The province returned to training this afternoon, where Leinster's frontline Ireland internationals were involved.

Caelan Doris, Andrew Porter, James Ryan, Robbie Henshaw, Garry Ringrose and Josh van der Flier were among those back in training, with indications that the province are set to to name a staring squad for Friday night in Limerick.

"The majority of those players would have had the whole of last week off, and a lot of the players that played last week will have this week off," assistant coach Robin McBryde (below) said.

"When you think, four international matches, straight into two European games, we've got to be able to look after the players.

"Otherwise they’re going to be blunt, not as sharp as what they used to be, there would be injury concerns.

"It’s important that we’re able to do that over this period. We have two big games after this one on Friday to go again."

Their return will be welcomes by Cullen, whose injury list has been growing larger and larger in recent weeks, with Max Deegan and Jack Conan both joining it in Saturday's 20-12 win against Connacht.

Deegan is following the return to play protocols for concussion and as a result is a doubt for Friday’s game in Limerick, whole Jack Conan is also questionable to be fit after picking up an ankle injury.

Additionally, wings Jordan Larmour and Tommy O’Brien are being monitored after they were unable to take their places in the team last weekend as a precaution.
