Barcelona's game against Osasuna was postponed shortly before kick-off on Saturday night, following the sudden death of the club’s first-team doctor.
The La Liga leaders made the announcement in a post on social media which read: "FC Barcelona is deeply saddened to announce the passing of first-team doctor Carles Minarro Garcia this evening.
"For this reason, the match between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna has been postponed to a later date.
"The FC Barcelona board of directors and all staff extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time."
The postponement means Atletico Madrid will have the chance to reclaim top spot when they travel to Getafe on Sunday.
