The gulf between top and bottom of Division 4 of the Allianz Football League was clearly evident as Wexford ran out 12-point winners of Waterford in Dungarvan.
While the Yellowbellies maintained their 100% start to move to eight points, the Deise's struggles continued as they recorded a fifth successive defeat in the bottom tier.
The tone was set within three minutes as Tom Byrne, Eoghan Nolan, Eoin Porter and Mark Rossiter all pointed for the visitors.
A two-point free from Jason Curry got Waterford off the mark, but when Rossiter raised a green flag in the 12th-minute, the Slaneysiders had already built a healthy 1-06 to 0-02 lead.
The advantage was pushed out further by time the whistle blew for half-time, Wexford heading to the changing rooms with a 1-11 to 0-05 scoreline in their favour.
Three points on the spin after the resumption suggested the hosts could mount an unlikely comeback as Wexford went 18 minutes before registering their first score of the second half courtesy of Kevin O’Grady.
Ten minutes later and a Seán Ryan goal put the game beyond any lingering doubt
