In the lone Men's Super League fixture this weekend, Bright St. Vincent’s suffered a 113-74 defeat at the hands of Maree at home on Saturday night.
It was a blow for the north Dublin outfit as they continue their battle for survival with a further fixture tomorrow, at home, against UCD Marian (8pm), a side who are in the hunt for a play-off spot at the other end of the table.
St. Vincent’s were left facing a 16-point deficit by the close of the first quarter and that uphill task grew even steeper by the half-time break as Maree widened the gap to 25.
Miles Brown and Joshua McGettigan spearheaded the Galway side’s offence with a huge 59 points, the latter also combining with Eoin Rockall for 22 rebounds and seven assists.
