The Barcelona Gaels fairytale continues after they produced a brilliant performance to beat Conahy Shamrocks at UPMC Nowlan Park in the Leinster Club Junior Football Championship on Saturday.
Barcelona Gaels entered the Leinster JFC as European champions having beaten Berlin GAA 4-15 to 3-09 last month to clinch the crown and set up a trip to the Emerald Isle.
Tiernan Kennedy's men are the first side from from Iberia to compete in the competition.
They stormed out of the traps in Kilkenny to lead by 1-03 to 0-00 inside the first ten minutes, Aaron Hayes with their opening goal.
Another Hayes maximum in the 18th minute strengthened their grip on the contest, and the visitors held a 2-06 to 0-03 lead at half-time.
They didn't loosen their grip on the game in the second half as a super Eoin O'Connor goal wrapped up what proved to be comfortable win.
On what was a seismic day for the club, Barcelona Gaels also held a Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others blitz in Barcelona involving over 150 players.
