Denmark's Nicolai Hojgaard and Chile’s Joaquin Niemann have accepted invitations to compete in this year’s Masters, tournament organisers have announced.

Hojgaard, who helped Europe regain the Ryder Cup in 2023, briefly held the outright lead in the third round on his tournament debut last year before finishing 16th.

His twin brother Rasmus will make his debut at Augusta National in April after qualifying by being ranked inside the world's top 50 players. It will be the first time that a pair of twins will compete in the same Masters.

Niemann, who plays mainly on the LIV Golf circuit but won an Asian Tour event in December, also received a special invite last year and finished 22nd.

Masters chairman Fred Ridley said: "In support of Augusta National’s efforts to develop interest in golf globally, deserving international players not otherwise qualified have been invited throughout the tournament’s history.

"The tradition continues as we welcome Nicolai and Joaquin back to the Masters, as both players have showcased their talent while competing around the world. We look forward to their arrival this April."
