Tom McKibbin has refused to deny speculation he is set for a move to LIV Golf as he prepares for this week's Team Cup event in Abu Dhabi.
The County Down golfer had a fantastic 2024, which saw him finish 18th on the Race to Dubai standings and claim a dual DP World Tour and PGA Tour card for next season.
There were emotional scenes when McKibbin secured that card, as he celebrated with Rory McIlroy, his fellow club man and long-term critic of LIV Golf.
But he looks set to leave that behind.
He would follow Graeme McDowell to the LIV Tour ahead of the fourth season, which begins in Riyadh on 6 February.
Speaking to Golf Digest Middle East this morning, McKibbin said when asked about the move: "I'm not going to make any comments this week out of respect for Justin [Rose] and Luke [Donald] and this tournament.
"It's a team event so I'm just trying to do my best for the team and see how many points I can get."
Team events will be McKibbin's focus if the move does materialise as he will sign with Jon Rahm's side, Legion XIII, as a replacement for the relegated Kieran Vincent, on the tour which is financially backed by Saudi Arabia.
He is part of the Great Britain and Ireland side preparing to face Continental Europe this week.
