Ousmane Dembele struck in stoppage time for Paris Saint-Germain to snatch a 1-0 win over Monaco and lift the Trophee des Champions in Qatar.

A close contest saw Dembele find the winner for the Ligue 1 champions in the second minute of additional time as the Parisians won the competition for a 13th time.

In Ligue 1 meanwhile, Marseille sit seven points behind leaders PSG after a thumping 5-1 victory against Le Havre.

Valentin Rongier, Bilal Nadir and Neal Maupay were all on the scoresheet in the first half before Elye Wahi and Ulisses Garcia extended the lead after the break. Andre Ayew scored a consolation against his old club in the 85th minute.

Zakaria Aboukhlal's penalty saw Toulouse earn a 1-0 win over 10-man Lens and Angers moved out of the relegation zone after goals from Esteban Lepaul and Ibrahima Niane helped them beat Brest 2-0.

Strasbourg earned back-to-back league wins after coming from behind to secure a 3-1 victory over Auxerre.

In Serie A, two early goals allowed Roma to claim a 2-0 victory against Lazio in the Rome derby.

Roma went ahead with a fantastic finish from skipper Lorenzo Pellegrini, who curled the ball into the top corner before Alexis Saelemaekers doubled their advantage with a cool finish into the bottom corner.

A stoppage-time fracas involving both sides then saw Valentin Castellanos dismissed.

Roberto Piccoli celebrates his winner for Cagliari

Cagliari moved out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over fellow strugglers Monza.

Nadir Zortea cancelled out Gianluca Caprari’s early penalty before Roberto Piccoli found the winner for Cagliari and the afternoon soured further for Monza when Danilo D’Ambrosio was sent off.

Lecce and Genoa settled for a 0-0 draw, while Torino’s clash with Parma also finished goalless.

Real Sociedad secured victory in round 32 of the Copa del Rey after second-half goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Brais Mendez earned a 2-0 victory over Ponferradina.

La Liga side Real Valladolid were knocked out of the competition after they were beaten 3-2 by Primera Federacion outfit Ourense.

An energetic first half saw the score level at half-time, but Angel Sanchez found the winner with a low finish in the 52nd minute.

Las Palmas were another La Liga team to exit the competition after they lost 4-0 to Segunda Division side Elche.

Elche went ahead through Rodrigo Mendoza just before the break and wrapped up victory with three goals in 15 minutes from David Affengruber, Jose Salinas and Nicolas Fernandez.

Celta Vigo secured their spot in the next round of the competition in dramatic circumstances with two late goals to beat Racing Santander 3-2.

Segunda Division side Racing – who were reduced to 10 in the 35th minute – looked to have snatched victory when Javi Rodriguez’s own goal sent them ahead.

However, Javi Castro turned the ball into his own goal to level and Alfon Gonzalez then bagged his second goal of the game in stoppage time to earn a late victory.

Leganes also reached the next round with a 2-1 win over Cartagena when Munir El Haddadi cancelled out Luis Munoz’s opener before Dani Raba scored the winner.
