Mayo GAA have confirmed that Sunday's SFC final between Knockmore and Ballina has been postponed due to expected poor weather.
The arrival of Storm Ashley has led to a status orange wind warning has been issued for Mayo and Galway on Sunday.
"Following an emergency Mayo GAA County Board officers meeting this evening, Mayo GAA Cathaoirleach Seamus Tuohy said player and supporter safety are the priorities and postposing the County Football Final this Sunday is the correct decision for all concerned," Mayo GAA said.
"After consultation with both clubs, the Mayo GAA CCC has now rescheduled the game for next Saturday, October 26th at 7pm in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park."
Tickets purchased for the game and for the Mayo GAA TV live stream will be honoured for next Saturday.
